Wordpress and Invision Power Board Bridge v1.3 Released
Hi,
I”m glad to announce the official release of the Wordpress and Invision Power Board Bridge 1.3 version compatible with the new Wordpress 2.5x and any Invision Power Board 2.x.
New WP-IPB plug-in options and features:
Compatible with the new Wordpress 2.5 version.
Port previous forum posts to Wordpress: this option allows you to choose NOT to import previous posts and threads from the selected forum for replication, this way you do not need to create a new blank forum for the installation.
Comments Integration: this option allows you to choose if you want your posts and threads to be cross-posted or not.
Bugs fixed April 2008:
- Blank page after plug-in activation fixed.
- Emoticons now supported.

- User group management installation lock-out bug.
- General code clean-up.
New version has either been mailed out to all customers and the rest should receive it in the next couple of days after the date of this post.
New members can purchase the plug-in and receive the new version.

Where to ask question about sale and the product?
I would very much like to buy this product. I am just unsure what will happen to WP-users and IPB users after I install the bridge.
If someone can help me answer some of my questions, I will get the bridge asap.
Help.

I am going to buy this however, a couple of quick questions…
I have Coppermine bridged already with my invision (not the WP) should I remove that bridge or will I be able to leave that up?
How does the WP deal with my custom Invision member groups after being bridged? Can I still have certain people author on the WP or not?
Thank you

I have not tested the Coppermine bridge and I cannot guarantee it will work together with the WP-IPB bridge, I suppose it most likely will.
Custom Invision Member Groups show up on your Wordpress Username wp-admin, where you can edit your custom IPB member group into any Wordpress member group, please check out the installation post for more details on how the usergroups are handled.
